Description
Six wines. Four countries. One box built around the wineries that pass their craft down, from grandparents to grandsons, one generation to the next.
We're calling August the Legacy Pack, and it's timed for Father's Day. Every wine in this box comes from a family that has handed the winemaking on, whether that's Brockenchack naming their flagship Shiraz after the grandson now training to take over the vineyard, or Juvé & Camps, still family-run in Penedès over a century after it was founded in 1921. This is a pack about the wines worth passing on and the stories that come with them.
From the Barossa to Bordeaux, by way of the Alpine Valleys, Mendoza and Penedès, this pack travels through Australia, France, Argentina and Spain, picking up a different family story in every glass.
Every wine in the pack comes from a small, family-run producer who farms with genuine care and makes wine with minimal intervention. No mass production, no shortcuts, just honest fruit handled properly.
Each wine has been hand-selected to reflect our philosophy of minimal intervention, sustainability and genuine character. We taste every bottle before it joins The Wine Traveller portfolio, ensuring it tells a story worth sharing.
Whether you're celebrating Dad this Father's Day or just want a box built around wines with real history behind them, the August Journey Pack makes it effortless. Six bottles, six family legacies, no passport required.
Tasting Notes
Vintage: Various
Brockenchack Jack Harrison Shiraz: Eden Valley, Barossa, SA. Deep, dark fruit on the nose with blackcurrant, ripe plum and black cherry, framed by French oak spice. Full-bodied and richly textured on the palate with a weighty, structured finish. Brockenchack's flagship, named after the grandson now learning the ropes to become the next generation of winemaker.
Nomad's Garden Pinot Noir: Alpine Valleys, VIC. Lifted red cherry and strawberry on the nose with forest floor, fresh herb and a whisper of spiced rhubarb. Light-bodied and supple on the palate with velvet-smooth tannins and a fresh, elegant finish. Low intervention winemaking at its most delicate.
Tscharke A Thing of Beauty Grenache: Barossa Valley, SA. Dewy rose petal, cherry and ripe strawberry on the nose with subtle savoury spice beneath. Vibrant and finely tannined on the palate, balancing power with real delicacy. Certified organic, made by a sixth-generation Barossa farming family.
Château Bichon Cassignols Graves Rouge: Graves, Bordeaux, France. Deep berry fruit on the nose with earthy mineral undertones. Perfectly balanced tannins on the palate with a mineral-driven, food-friendly finish. Gold medal-winning certified organic red from one of Bordeaux's most respected regions.
La Celia Reserve Malbec: Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. Ripe blackberry and dark cherry on the nose with violet, vanilla and a touch of black pepper. Full-bodied and plush on the palate with smooth tannins and a rich, persistent finish. From one of the Uco Valley's founding wineries.
Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia Cava: Penedès, Spain. Ripe white fruit and pear on the nose with citrus notes and a hint of toasted bread. Creamy and fine on the palate, with a lively mousse and a long, elegant finish. Family-owned since 1921 and still made by hand.

I love its cripsness plus i dont get ab anti histamine reaction..been the High & Dry Tamberlaine Curvee for 5 years. Thank you for stocking it as its hard to ger in liqour shops. Dymphna
These glasses bring a lightweight, sophisticated touch to any dining experience. We received them as a gift and have been absolutely delighted—so much so that we wouldn’t choose anything else now. They’ve truly elevated our table setting.
We absolutely love this wine! After one run through the decanter, it becomes a beautifully smooth red. We also purchased the decanter from The Wine Traveller and couldn’t be happier. Quick dispatch and delivery. The organic reds taste incredibly fresh and clean—no chemical aftertaste at all and no hangover. We're hooked. Thanks, Greg!
I was at first hesitant about a sparkling wine in a screw cap bottle but was very pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the wine and the cap. The screw cap does a better job of keeping the bubbles fresh than any champagne stopper I have ever used.
This wine is our favourite drop for those everyday bubbles where you don't want to open an expensive French champagne like Verve or Taittinger (she who must be obeyed favourites).
It’s good enough to drink as a non alcoholic alternative to champagne and the little bottles are perfect - big enough to share or to drink the whole lot yourself!
I’ve had to give up my French champagne for health reasons and so I’ve tested many sparkling ‘wines’. I first sampled this at the famous Lakehouse Daylesford and have never looked back. It looks like champagne and is the closest thing you’ll get without the alcohol and the French touch. Give it a go!
It made me sad when my doctor said to give up alcohol. I love my bubbles. At a lunch at the Lakehouse I saw this non- alcoholic sparkling and gave it a go. Game changer. Looked the same and was very well received by my palate! The best part no adverse reactions and no hangover. So…..I had to buy some for those special celebrations when I didn’t want to feel left out. A little on the expensive side but worth it.
We are normally Shiraz drinkers, but I would describe this Grenache as a warmer-climate Pinot Noir with more body, making it incredibly approachable, food-friendly, and a fantastic alternative to heavier reds.
It is a highly aromatic, medium-bodied red wine with flavours reminiscent of red cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. Very nice indeed.
We were amazed how quickly you managed to package our order and get it Aus Post. Unfortunately, Aus Post are a business that do not care about quality and it took 2 weeks to get it to us. This is not out of the ordinary and I feel Aus Post are hurting businesses and this might impact on whether we decide to purchase from you guys again. However, you guys were great!
I tasted this wine at Marmelo restaurant in Melbourne. I loved it. I have been systematically tasting zero alcohol sparkling wines for some months and this was the best one I had ever tasted. I ordered 6 bottles, and everyone I share it with is VERY impressed.
My son bought this prosecco at the Sutherland Saturday markets, and we all agree it's the best prosecco we've had. I re-ordered directly through The Wine Traveller as they weren't there a couple of weeks ago, and delivery was super-fast plus 10% off my first order! Very happy, and will be purchasing again once we get through the latest box.
