Description

La Celia is one of Mendoza's most historically significant wineries, with roots stretching back to 1890 when Eugenio Bustos established the original estate in the San Carlos department of the Uco Valley. Today the estate carries his name in its sub-region, a testament to the lasting influence of this pioneering family on what is now one of the world's most celebrated Malbec-producing areas.

The winery sits at altitude in the Uco Valley, where the Andes dramatically shape the growing conditions. Cool nights and warm days, minimal rainfall and free-draining rocky soils encourage deep vine roots and naturally low yields. The Reserve range draws on the best parcels of the estate, with the Malbec spending 60% of its maturation in French and American oak barrels over eight months, building the complexity and texture that distinguish the Reserve expression from the entry-level range. La Celia is now a major player in producing quality, terroir-driven wines from this spectacular high-altitude corner of Argentina.
