This Tasmanian Chardonnay from Handpicked Wines is a masterclass in cool-climate precision. Sourced from the Auburn Road Vineyard in the Tamar Valley a NASAA organic certified site with weathered basalt soils and mineral variation it is whole bunch pressed, wild ferment and barrel matured for 11 months in Burgundian puncheon. Pristine lemon and white peach on the nose, with a palate that balances vibrant natural acidity with a luxurious, texturally generous mid-palate. The climate here is characterised by long, slow ripening seasons, cool nights and strong maritime influence conditions that preserve natural acidity while building genuine depth.

For this Chardonnay, whole bunch pressing, wild yeast fermentation in new and seasoned Burgundian puncheons, and partial malolactic fermentation combine to produce a wine of exceptional refinement and balance.
