Due to the success of the first vintage Delatite had to double its production for the 2022 vintage.

Delatite Estate crafts wines rooted in the cool climate and unique mountain terroir of the Delatite region near Mansfield. The Pet Nat is produced in a traditional method where secondary fermentation occurs in bottle, capturing natural bubbles without filtration or fining. Sourced from Riesling and Gewurztraminer, this wine reflects both varietals’ aromatic strength and Delatite’s focus on vibrancy and purity of fruit.

Riesling brings bright citrus and zesty acidity while Gewurztraminer adds aromatic intensity and floral character. The result is a wine that is lively on the palate, bright in character and easy to enjoy in relaxed settings. The natural sparkling style means the wine retains freshness and complexity, allowing the interplay between varietal traits to shine.

Colour: clear yellow - cloudy when shaken...
Nose: This blend has a nose of lemon and floral hints.
Palate: the wine is fresh and lifted with a strong citrus burst on the palate hints of rose come through on the mid palate with yeasty characters throughout.

79/21% riesling/gewürztraminer. Hand picked, whole- bunch pressed, co-fermented wild for primary fermentation. A pét-nat with a touch of class and presence in the glass, not to mention flavour intensity. Striking scents and flavours of spiced apple, honeysuckle, lime cordial, spiciness and tropical passionfruit pulp and skin. This is one strong, individual style, not shy in the least, offering a tantalising touch of savouriness with lively textural flow through to the finish.
